    Hoosier Lottery representatives Jon Oppenheim and Steve Neher presented Valery Oliver with a $100,000 check, the bonus award for selling the winning Powerball ticket to Barbara and Roy Hamer last month. The Hammers took a cash option, taking $15,450,265.35 after taxes, in the $41 million Powerball Sept. 18. Oliver and her husband, Ed, own V & Ease Stop N Shop, Warsaw.

    Jodie Wilson was crowned Homecoming Queen at the half-time festivities of the WCHS-Concord football game recently. Mike Hall was selected homecoming king. Miss Wilson is the daughter of Bernard and Peggy Wilson, Warsaw, and Hall is the son of John and Maureen Hall, Clunette.

    Dr. Myron Boyd, director of the Free Methodist Light and Life Hour, and his assistant, Rev. Claude Horton, of Winona Lake, leave by plane today to conduct a series of radio rallies in the northwest, California and Illinois. They'll be gone two weeks.

    Mr. and Mrs. William J. Chinworth returned recently to their home on South Columbia Street, from a six-weeks tour. Mr. and Mrs. Chinworth visited many places of interest in the west, including Yellow Stone National Park. They also were in Los Angeles, Calif., and Tucson, Ariz., for a short while.
