October 13 1998

    The Warsaw JV boys soccer team captured the 1998 NLC JV Championship recently in Goshen. The Tigers finished the regular season at 13-2-2 and 8-0-1 in the NLC. Members are Kiel Beechler, Tim Zentz, Andy Walter, Justin Raymer, Craig Becknell, Ryan Burgher, Stephen Miller, Marc Ianigro, Chad Fisher, Ryan Hill, Tyler Dietrich, David Wildman, Mark Grossnickle, Ben Stephens, Adam Sisson, Trevor Shafer, Scott Stouder and Brad Hainley. Their coach is Chris Miller and student assistant coach is Chris Metz.

    Woodrow Bradley Jr., son of Woodrow and Oma J. Bradley, Claypool, has been promoted in the U.S. Army to the rank of captain.

Bradley is a medical specialist at Fort Polk, La., with the 5th Infantry Division.

    Carolyn Leap, Barbara Lock and Alice Warner have been selected yell leaders for the North Webster High School basketball team.

Second team cheerleaders will be Peggy Huffman, Shirley Morton and Jill Sullivan.

October 13 1933

    Musicians of Kosciusko County will appear over station WOWO, Fort Wayne, during the guest hour artist review Saturday. Louise Perry, of Silver Lake, Jeanette Stayr and Loren Thompson of Claypool will each present piano selections. David Timberman and Richard Sands of Silver Lake will each sing vocal solos. A saxophone solo also will be played by Anna Henry, also of Silver Lake.
