    Sacred Heart's women's softball team won the 1998 Ladies Church League Tournament. Team members include Gail Downing, Kim McClelland, Peggy Zimmerman, Dona Dawalt, Lori Eigenberg, Heather Walanga, Nancy Lawrence, Sarah Barber, Marti Barber, Cheryl Couture, Loraine Tucco, Teresa Brickner, Cheryl Lewis, Diane Dick, Tammy and Payton Adamiec and Tania Pinilla.

    WEST LAFAYETTE - Twenty-three 4-H youths will represent Indiana at the 29th annual National 4-H Dairy Conference in Madison, Wis., participating with some 200 young people from 25 states and six Canadian provinces.

Among those Hoosier delegates to attend the conference is Doug Hathaway, of Claypool.

    Nancy Adams, 19, of Claypool, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Adams, ushers in the first full month of autumn or "Indian Summer." Nancy, The Times-Union October calendar girl, is a secretary at L.M. Berry in Warsaw.

October 1 1933

    Robert Gearhart, farmer residing in Prairie Township, believed his automobile stolen from the streets of Warsaw. Neighbors drove Gearhart and his family to their country home.

Later the Gearhart car was discovered parked near the Warsaw Presbyterian Church. Then Gearhart, his friends say, remembered he had parked his car at the church but forgot it, as that is not his usual parking place when in Warsaw.
