Tippecanoe Valley High School celebrated homecoming activities at halftime of the Valley-Oak Hill football game. Named homecoming queen and king were Sonya Unzicker and Greg Vandewater.
Dale Plew and Donald Sisk Sr., employees of Dalton Foundries for a quarter of a century, were presented 25-year certificates and gold watches in recognition of their long service to the corporation at the annual 25-year club dinner meeting at the Elks Club.
Warsaw pinsters began their first round of local play here at the Warsaw bowling alley when bowlers representing Brown's Garage under the title of Brown's Greasers defeated a team from Mauzy's Sporting Goods store by 75 points. Bill Ladd, Fred Hartman, Jimmie Ladd, Bernard Hess and Lloyd Nine bowled for the Greasers. Thomas Hay, Max Barrick, Robert Hankins, Gibson Bollinger and Thames Mauzy represented the sporting goods store.
