Papa John's Pizza of Warsaw recently presented Edgewood Middle School athletic department with a check for $1,500. The money was raised through a fund-raiser the middle school held in cooperation with Papa John's. Top student sellers were: Stephanie Stratton, Diana Aguilar, Nate Kline and Nate Miller. Each received cash prizes. Kline was also the top seller of all students and received a cash prize and free pizza for a year.
An Indianapolis firm was awarded the $2.1 million bond issue contract for the Warsaw Community School swimming pool project, which will ultimately result in additional costs to the taxpayers because of a one-year delay caused by a remonstrance.
Miss Helen Hyun, of Winona Lake, returns to Seoul, Korea, by plane from Fort Wayne. A graduate of National College for Women, at Kansas City, Mo., she served her apprenticeship in social welfare work in Washington, D.C., this past year. The daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Rody Hyun, she has been studying in this country six years.
Approximately 100 enthusiastic young Republicans convened in a get-together meeting of the directors and vice directors of the Republican Constitutional club at the Hays Hotel recently and prepared plans for the forthcoming fall election. The Republican Constitutional club is organized to establish relationship between all young Republicans between the ages of 21 and 35.
