10 Years AgoBridges in Kosciusko County received an "A" from the Indiana Local Technical Assistance Program, County Highway Superintendent and Engineer Rob Ladson told the county commissioners. That assessment is based on comparing Kosciusko County bridges to those in other Indiana counties. "Our average score was 90.48 out of 100," said Ladson. The grade didn't include the two bridges that the county has replaced or is replacing.25 Years AgoSeventeen sets of Kosciusko Trivia were presented to the Warsaw Community Schools by the First National Bank of Warsaw. Fourth-graders Peter Trolinger and Jennifer Conley, along with their teacher, Louise Zielinski, were given a presentation by Bob Mills. Mills and three other students from the recent Kosciusko Leadership Academy class developed the game. Zielinski's fourth-graders attend Madison Elementary School.50 Years AgoChuck Yeager, son of Mr. and Mrs. Randall Yeager, Warsaw, is chairman of the halftime committee for homecoming at Hanover College. A senior, Chuck is a business major. He is a member of the public affairs forum steering committee. During the spring semester last year, Chuck acted as chairman of the political mock convention. This year he is acting president of Sigma Chi fraternity.75 Years AgoMr. and Mrs. Glenn Dufur returned recently to their home on North Detroit Street, after spending several days in Cincinnati. While in that city Mr. and Mrs. Dufur attended the national convention of retail druggists.Milo Clase and Johnny Widaman, students at Indiana University, arrived here to spend the weekend with their respective parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Clase and Mr. and Mrs. Allen Widaman.
