10 Years AgoKatie Grossnickle, 13, Winona Lake, recently had the "time of her life" as one of the youngest competitors in the 29th Annual American Quarter Horse Youth Association World Championship Show and Convention in Fort Worth, Texas. Grossnickle was the lone participant from the Warsaw area, with only 22 kids in Indiana invited to participate. "We're going for fun," Lori, Katie's mother, said earlier. This was Katie's first year in the competition.25 Years AgoThe Warsaw girls golf team opened its season with a third-place finish in the Northern Lakes Conference Invitational at Rozella Ford. Blosser is representing the Warsaw area. A champion achiever last year, he was a member of the Stakosco Company, counseled by David Siles of Warsaw Furniture Mfg. Co., John Moyer of Blue Bell, and Don Coahran of the Haffner store.75 Years AgoThe Warsaw Business and Professional Women's Club was hostess at an inter-city dinner meeting held recently in the Westminster Hotel at Winona Lake. Guests from North Manchester, Plymouth, South Bend, Rushville, Mishawaka, Marion, Fort Wayne and Goshen, Ind., and from Keokuk, Iowa, were in attendance. Greetings were extended from the Warsaw president, Miss Ethel Bratt.
