10 Years AgoThe Kosciusko County Historical Society announces that a new historical marker has recently been placed at the site of the old Cowen Seminary on the corner of Ind. 15S and Winona Avenue, in front of Tom's Feed Store. The old school building, which burned down in 1884, had been a significant seat of learning for citizens of Warsaw.25 Years AgoThe Kosciusko Community YMCA's Discover Excellence campaign received a donation from four children who raised the money by collecting aluminum cans over an eight-week period. Receiving the Donation was Joy Jackson, YMCA executive director, from Bradley Gold, Valerie Gold, Alex Wood and Lynnly Wood. The children's parents are Barry and Linda Gold and Bill and Priscilla Wood. The children have participated in YMCA activities such as Camp Little Eagle, After School Special and Gym and Swim.50 Years AgoMr. and Mrs. Kaye Don Anglin, Warsaw, and their five children, Andrea, Mark, Pamela, Francina and Belinda, are taking an extended tour through the western states. They have spent a few days in Seattle with Mrs. Anglin's mother, and in Idaho with her grandmother. En route back they will spend some time in Yellowstone National Park.75 Years AgoRollen Scott, Harold Scott, Gerald Wise and Walter Bause, all of Claypool, took a four-day fishing trip through northern Michigan. They reported several good catches.
