10 Years AgoMark Quador, of Leesburg, just returned from Munster, Texas, after competing in the 12th and 13th rounds of the American Motorcycle Association National Enduro Series. This is a 14-round series that takes place across the United States. Quador is now leading the nation in the four-stroke B class after 13 rounds with 176 points.25 Years AgoSome 113 members and guests enjoyed a carry-in dinner at Center Lake Pavilion recently. Warsaw policeman Rod Thomas was introduced. He alerted senior citizens of persons making phony telephone calls and misrepresenting themselves. Door prizes were awarded to 15 senior citizen members. They were: Wilbur Pyle, Margaret Welker, Mildred Denekas, Josephine Hopkins, Anna Menzie, Everett Vanator, Lois Reuter, Mary Evans, Arma Eckert, Eva Waggoner, Thelma Blosser, Mabel Amones, Florence Bridenbicker, Marguerite Forrest and Boyce Howard.50 Years AgoMrs. Charles A. Butler, Warsaw, entertained at dinner recently in honor of the 14th birthday of her grandson, Douglas Lee Butler, of Springfield, Ill. Present were his parents, the Charles R. Butlers, and his sister, Carla Anne; Mr. and Mrs. Donald Butler and Children, David and Deedee Marie, of Edwardsburg, Mich., and Miss Charlotte Marie Butler of Fort Wayne.75 Years AgoIndiana Anti-Saloon League officials will meet at Winona Lake August 26 with national league executives and officials from eleven central states for a three-day conference. The states to which the Indiana Anti-Saloon League will be host are: Tennessee, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio, Michigan, Wisconsin, Illinois, Kentucky, Iowa and Minnesota.
