10 Years AgoWhen Warsaw boys soccer coach Scott Bauer told people that he thought the Tigers could win the Northern Lakes Conference title last year, many people thought it was just crazy talk from a new coach. Bauer and the Tigers proved the naysayers wrong when they earned a second-place finish in the NLC with the only undefeated record in the conference (3-0-3). Last season, the Tigers finished with eight wins, five losses and four ties overall and three wins, three ties and no losses in NLC play.25 Years AgoMiss Kelli Ann Sausaman, age 5, daughter of Steve and Jewell Sausaman of Warsaw, will be a contestant in the Miss Michiana Pageant that will be held in South Bend at the Century Center. Woody Koher, chief photographer of The Times-Union, started a two-weeks vacation today. Koher and his family will visit in Tennessee and Ohio.75 Years AgoA delightful swimming party was enjoyed by the girls of the F.O.J. class of the United Brethren Sunday School at the parsonage on North Lake Street. Following the swim the teacher, Mrs. M.S. Livengood served a dainty dinner on the porch, using a color scheme of yellow and gold. The guests were: The Misses Sarah Jane Nye, Jeanne Miller, Frances Smith, Mary Moon, Doris Bowser, Doris Zimmer and Maxine Sisk.
