10 Years AgoOur Father's House and DePuy Inc. have teamed up to help families in the community. DePuy donated a minivan to Our Father's House to help with transportation. Job interviews, delivery of goods, doctor's appointments, schooling and training are a few things the van will be used for.Our Father's House is a nonprofit organization that helps those in need. Those at the presentation were: Hugo A. Pedrozo; Ted Burnworth, DePuy human resources; Gabrielle Kelley Day, office manager at Our Father's House; Rosalyn "Roz" Morgan, director of Our Father's House; Don Thallemer, volunteer to Mary's House; and Dan Gregory, Our Father's House board member.25 Years AgoAndrew Hughes and Devon Marsh were crowned the North Webster Mermaid Festival Cutie King and Queen. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Marsh, Etna Green, and he is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rock Hughes, Warsaw. They each received a $25 cash prize, a trophy and a savings bond from the International Palace of Sports.50 Years AgoDr. and Mrs. Wymond Wilson, of Mentone, will leave for a trip to Hawaii. They are joining a 10-day tour planned by the Flying Physicians Association.75 Years AgoMr. and Mrs. John Holderman were pleasing host and hostess recently to members of their bridge club. Two games of bridge progressed with prizes going to Mrs. Paul Elliott and Howard Smith, first; and Paul Ellis, consolation. The remainder of the evening was then spent along Tippecanoe River, where a wiener and marshmallow roast was enjoyed.
