Kosciusko County didn't send the smallest delegation to Atlanta last week during the All America City Award competition - a group from Montana had that distinction, bringing 11 people to the capital of Georgia. Kosciusko County came in second with 13 people.
The largest group was from South Miami, Fla., with 280 people. The Kosciusko County group failed in its bid to win All America recognition for the county and found a lot to be proud of anyway. "Actually, it was a learning experience," said Angela Ritchey, one of the co-authors of the All America City application.

Next year persons using the Syracuse School cafeteria will note two large murals on the walls. The murals were done by Diane Martin and David Cobbum, both seniors of Syracuse High School. The two murals took approximately six months to complete and are 4 feet by 6 feet in dimension. David's "Fashion Design" was done in oils and Diane's "Escape" was done in egg tempra. Diane plans to go to the Chicago Academy of Fine Arts to major in commercial art and portrait painting. David plans to attend the Chicago Institute of Art.

The first revue of the dancing class of Mary Jane  McKown was given recently at the Centennial Theatre, and it proved most entertaining to a capacity audience. Every seat in the auditorium and gallery was filled, with many occupying standing room, and all in enthusiastic applause throughout the entire program. The ballet dancing of Mary Jane McKown and Barbara Jean Ferverda, appearing in a duo dance number, was superb. The musical comedy tap dance of Miss McKown brought down the house.
