10 Years AgoThe first annual Juried Art Fair will be held at The Village At Winona in Winona Lake Saturday and Sunday. Thirty-two artists from a four-state area will display their art work. Local artists include Terry Armstrong, Bev Garner, Susan Karczewski, Maynard Wade of Warsaw; and Deb Wright of Leesburg.25 Years AgoMiss Julie Ann Chubb was crowned Miss Kosciusko at the Scholarship Pageant held recently at Tippecanoe Valley High School. Miss Chubb, 19, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Chubb, Warsaw. She graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 1984 and is presently attending Indiana-Purdue in Fort Wayne, majoring in music therapy. She will compete in the Miss Indiana pageant in Michigan City.50 Years AgoMrs. Ralph Lucier, of Kings Highway, will be a guest Sunday at Notre Dame University's luncheon for President Dwight D. Eisenhower who is to give the commencement address and receive an honorary doctor of law degree. Mrs. Lucier and President Eisenhower grew up in Abilene, Kan., and have been friends all their lives.75 Years AgoA party of relatives and friends pleasantly surprised Mrs. W.S. Ross, recently, at her home in Winona Lake. It was the wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Ross and the birthday anniversary of Mrs. Ross. A co-operative dinner was served.
