Megan Hadley, a fifth-grade student at Sacred Heart, was recently chosen as a contestant for “Slime Time Live” at Universal Studio’s Nickelodeon Studio in Orlando, Fla. Her team won and Megan received the honor of a pie in the face and won a video of “Rugrats in Paris.” Megan is the daughter of Tamara and Paul Hadley, North Webster. Her hosts were Dave Aizer and Jessica.

The manuscript for the sesquicentennial edition of Kosciusko County History, compiled by the Historical Society, has been submitted to the publisher. The 2,983-page manuscript was presented to Taylor Publishing recently, and the book will be available late this year. More than 150 churches and organizations will be profiled, as well as 820 family histories, memorials, tributes and business histories.

Donna Morphew and Rita Lamoree today were named valedictorian and salutatorian, respectively, of the 1961 graduating class of Warsaw High School. Donna is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Morphew, Winona Lake. She plans to enter Manchester College.
Donna Morphew is editor of the “Tiger”, the school annual, and secretary-treasurer of Ex-Libris.
Rita Lamoree, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lamoree, Warsaw plans to attend either DePauw or Manchester College.
75 Years Ago
An enjoyable mothers’ and daughters’ banquet was held recently at the Caris school building. It was sponsored by members of the Women’s Missionary Society of the Hasting Church. There were 62 present. Mrs. Cora Fox and Mrs. Rena Kegebein, both 64, were the oldest mothers present, and each received a corsage of flowers. The young boys of the church served the dinner.
