10 Years Ago Tom Beno of Warsaw and Rozella Ford Golf Course fired a 5-under-par 66, breaking the tournament and competitive course record, as he came from three shots behind to win the 27th annual Indiana Golf Association Tournament of Champions at Fox Prairie Golf Course. In addition to breaking the tournament and course scoring record, Beno became the first player to win the Tournament of Champions in back-to-back years and just the fifth player to win multiple Tournament of Champions titles. 25 Years Ago Warsaw’s girls tennis team returns to action in a makeup contest at Northern Lakes Conference rival Goshen. Hawley, Warsaw, until Saturday morning. This marks the first reunion of the brothers in 10 years. Mr. and Mrs. Earl Long and daughter, Barbara, of Winona Lake, attended the Blossom Festival at Benton Harbor, Mich., over the weekend. Long marched in the parade with the IOOF canton. 75 Years Ago Three Pierceton boys made a clean sweep of the first three places in the weed identification contest in connection with the eighteenth annual 4-H club round-up at Purdue University.
