10 Years Ago Leesburg’s Mark Quador won the 4 Stroke B class of the American Motorcycle Association National Enduro Series. This is a 14-round off-road motorcycle series across the United States. Quador competed in Georgia, New Jersey, Ohio, Idaho, Rhode Island, Texas and Michigan. Quador surpassed 90 riders on his way to first place with a series total of 194 points. 25 Years Ago Kyle Hoskins signed his national letter of intent to attend Indiana University on an athletic scholarship in the fall. Hoskins, ranked 15th in a class of 357, is planning on majoring in chemistry at the Bloomington campus. Those present at the signing were his parents, Ron and Sonya Hoskins, Warsaw athletic director Dave Fulkerson and Tiger swimming coach Steve Conder. 50 Years Ago Mr. and Mrs. Robert Ellison, Warsaw, left recently to attend the United States Chamber of Commerce annual conference in Washington, D.C. Ellison, who heads up the local Merchants’ Protective Association of Indiana, is vice president of the Warsaw Chamber. The Ellisons plan to be away 10 days. 75 Years Ago Esther Bales, of Winona Lake, has accepted a position with the Winston Publishing House of Philadelphia, and she will give her exclusive time to canvassing work in Winona Lake and other communities selling the output of the concern. J.E. Beyer has returned to his home at Winona Lake after he and Mrs. Beyer had spent the winter in Hot Springs, Ark., and in California. Returning from California Mrs. Beyer stopped off at Manitou, Colo., and will return later.
