10 Years AgoGrace College and Seminary is now an accredited Associated Member of the National Association of Schools of Music. Only three other schools in Indiana who belong to the Council for Christian Colleges and Universities have this standing. A highlight of the dinner and awards ceremonies was the presentation of the "Boy Of The Year" award to Eric Thompson. Carlos Hall was runnerup for the award.50 Years AgoEight-year-old Rhonda Kay Yazel, of Mentone, and 5-year-old Bobby Lee Arnett, Warsaw, today were named top winners of The Times-Union's annual Bugs Bunny Easter Coloring Contest which drew a record 630 entries. Rhonda Kay, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Yazel, won the "advanced" division (for boys and girls aged 7 through 12), while Bobby Lee, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Arnett, captured first prize in the "tots" division (for those aged up to and including 6 years.)75 Years AgoIn the final examination for pupils of West Wayne School, Frederick Knauss, a member of the fifth grade, made a grade of straight "A". This is very exceptional and is made by very few pupils. Norma Jean Russell and Howard Swinehart, pupils in the sixth grade, made an average of "A" in their grades, which is also considered very excellent. S.D. Mow is teacher at West Wayne.
