10 Years AgoJudy Slone, R.N., recently was awarded the Very Special Person Award by the medical staff and administration at Kosciusko Community Hospital for her contributions to the organization.Slone is the director of education and information systems departments at KCH. She coordinates care management and leads the quality and safety risk management teams and coordinates community education programs. Slone has worked at KCH since 1978.25 Years AgoMichele Sebo, a sophomore at Notre Dame University, was selected cheerleader recently by university officials.Sebo, a pre-med major, is the daughter of Wayne and LaVaine Sebo, Warsaw. As a ND cheerleader, she will begin her career in the annual Notre Dame Blue-Gold intra-squad game. She will also attend a cheerleading camp in Virginia before classes begin in August.50 Years AgoSixteen Warsaw High School shop students and their instructor, Forrest Croop Jr., boarded a bus for Detroit, Mich., for a two-day tour of Ford Motor Co. plants. Those participating were: Bob Hile, Jerry Carper, Max Julian, Dave Garber and Mike Engle. Also, Glen Helser, George Ballantyne, Dick Fancil, Don Earl, Bill Clay, Larry Armey, Bill Grow, Bob Downing, Ted Dobbins, Phil Heinzman, bus driver Jack Loser, Henry Miller and Croop. 75 Years AgoWarsaw High School's track team downed Bourbon in a dual meet held here at the Center Ward track in easy style recently by a score of 64 to 25. Warsaw won nine firsts, 11 seconds and six third places to Bourbon's three firsts, one second and five third places.
