10 Years AgoThis recipe was contributed by Teresa Ward, a Times-Union newspaper carrier. Teresa's Fast and Easy Goulash: 1-1/2 pounds ground chuck; 1 can spaghetti sauce (I prefer Hunt's Roasted Garlic); 8-ounce package wide noodles; 12 ounces mozzarella cheese. Brown ground chuck and drain. While ground chuck is browning, boil noodles until done. Add spaghetti sauce to ground chuck, mix thoroughly. Add cooked noodles. Mix half the ground chuck and half the mozzarella cheese. Put in Dutch cooker. Add other half of mixture and top with remaining cheese. Cover and bake in a 350-degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes. This also can be left in the oven for 3 to 5 hours. Serve with tossed salad and garlic bread. 25 Years AgoA local couple, Richard and Pauline Lowry, Warsaw, recently hosted a dinner for 16 World War II veterans and their wives at the Warsaw Holiday Inn.The men had all served in the Third Armored Division, Service Battery, 54th Field Artillery, and most had not seen each other since they were discharged from duty more than 40 years ago.Several veterans traveled to Warsaw from such states as Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, as well as several from Indiana.50 Years AgoGreg Zuck, Winona Lake, former Warsaw High School 440- and 880-yard runner, is on the track squad at Earlham College, Richmond.
