Lloyd, 14, and Sandy Davis, 14, both of Warsaw, have been accepted to serve on a work/witness team in Panama this summer.Miss Lloyd is the daughter of Connie Lloyd, Warsaw. Miss Davis is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Davis Jr., Warsaw. Both youths are eighth-graders at Warsaw Middle School.50 Years AgoWarsaw's top foursome in the Indiana Forensic semi-finals at Fort Wayne recently were Bill Van Osdol and Sally Webb, first in humorous and oratorical interpretation, respectively, and Pauline Elliott and Sandi Adkinson, judged best in original oratory and girls' extemporaneous. Howe Military Academy came in second and Bishop Noll High School, Hammond, was third. Warsaw's speech team will compete in the state finals at New Castle April 30.75 Years AgoThe Book Lovers' Club met with Charlotte Grant recently. Eleven members responded to roll call with quotations of spring. After a short business session, the following program was given: "The Human Cost of Soviet Farming" by Ida Moon, followed by discussion. Ethel Bowles gave part three of the study book "Conquest of Disease," which concluded the year's work.
