10 Years AgoCongratulations to Tina Perkins, Warsaw, who picked the right combination of numbers to win $66,000 on the Hoosier MIllionaire show March 3. She was playing as proxy for her mother, Evelyn Hyde, also of Warsaw.25 Years AgoMrs. Noel Rhinehart was hostess for the March meeting of the Zerelda Reading Club and Mrs. Art Howard was the assisting hostess. In commemoration of the 100th anniversary of the club, Mrs. Don Scearce portrayed the life of a woman of that day. She explained the methods of laundry, butchering, cooking, heating, cleaning, sewing, care of the sick, beauty tips and social life. Her comments, both humorous and serious, invoked much discussion of those earlier years.50 Years AgoMrs. Neva Kinder, Mrs. Grace Waechter, Miss Imogene Mavis and Miss Mabel Bevington, Akron teachers, attended a Delta Kappa Gamma luncheon at North Judson recently. Mrs. Sadie Kewart, of North Judson, showed pictures of her trip to Africa.75 Years AgoMiss Nellie Galvin, of Pierceton, art teacher in the public schools of Chicago, left recently for New York City, to visit with her aunt. She will sail in one week on "The Manhattan" to Italy. Miss Galvin expects to visit eight countries in Europe, including Ireland, the Galvin home country.
