Trout, Columbia City, was the lucky visitor."We are thrilled with the number of guests the visitor center has received since opening in 1999," said Linda Arnold, director of the Kosciusko County Convention & Visitors Bureau.The Center offers printed information from local, regional and statewide attractions. A touch-screen monitor is available to assist travelers and residents with tourist information.25 Years AgoWarsaw junior Katrina Curtis performed a routine on the balance beam during Saturday's Wawasee Girls Gymnastics Sectional at Syracuse. Curtis scored an 8.75 to win the event en route to the all-around title and an automatic spot in this week's regionals. Webb, Warsaw, has been elected president of Lela Raney Wood Hall for the next school year at Stephens College, Columbia, Mo. Sally is a junior.Members of the Leesburg American Legion Auxiliary have chosen Miss Eileen Vandermark as the Leesburg High School junior they'll sponsor at Hoosier Girls' State next summer. The alternate is Miss Ilene Kammerer. Both are 16 years old.75 Years AgoThe latest innovation in the preparation of hamburger and "hot-dog" sandwiches has been installed at the Walter Drug store. The machine, embodying all the sanitary principles, is electric and has a capacity of 340 per hour. A unique feature of the machine is that no human hand touches the meat in its preparation and no grease is used in the cooking. The meat is placed on a revolving table and the operation is concluded in one revolution of the table.
