Robert D. Orr. York, an Eagle Scout of Troop 776, was one of only eight Eagle Scouts from the entire state chosen to meet with the governor on a special Scout report day.Son of Bruce and Jan York, Warsaw, York is a junior at Warsaw Community High School.50 Years AgoIt was announced by Bruce Maish, president of the Warsaw Community School Board, that David L. Burke, head track coach and mathematics instructor in the local high school, has received a scholarship for next year to take advanced work in the academic year institute in mathematics at Ohio State University and will resign at the end of the present school year.Burke is a graduate of Warsaw High School and Purdue University, where he was an honor student and a high jumper on the varsity track team.75 Years AgoMr and Mrs. Ross Scott and family of Warsaw were recent dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Bert Holloway of Mentone.
