10 Years AgoOn Monday (Feb. 7) a groundbreaking for the new KCH Surgi-Center was held. The SurgiCenter is planned to be 13,122 square feet, expanding east from the hospital's present lobby and registration areas. The size of the current surgical area is 5,400 square feet. The addition will include two major operating room suites, two minor procedure rooms and 17 private prep and recovery beds.25 Years AgoAn informative lesson on color was given by Norma Stech and Cynthia Patterson to members of the Warsaw Junior Extension Homemakers. We see color, react to it and use it. Included in the lesson was "Personal Coloring", "Do You See the Face or the Color", and "What Makes a Good Color Analysis." A list of reference books was given. 50 Years AgoMethodist Boy Scouts who will receive God and Country awards from their pastor, Rev. A.E. Habgood, are: Harold Edwards, Peter Briganti, Jim Nyenhuis, Robert Morton and Bill Loop. Also attending the award ceremony is Sidney Martin an Eagle Scout, who fulfilled his qualifications for the religious medal while associated with a troop at Shaw AFB, S.C.75 Years AgoThe activities of the Baker Boys' Club of Warsaw were carried farther when a basketball team was organized by "Pete" Thorne. This team is composed of boys of the age of 15 years. Atwood sent a team of boys aged 15 years to Warsaw, to meet the Baker boys at the Boys club basketball court above the Sharp Hardware. The local boys were victorious, defeating Atwood 20 to 6.
