In the meantime, the sellers may be willing to settle for a smaller purchase amount than what was once publicized. It was about 2-1/2 years ago, through a cooperative effort, that a $20,000 reward was offered for anyone who could find a buyer for the eyesore at the corner of South Buffalo and West Winona Avenue in Warsaw.50 Years AgoMr. and Mrs. Jack Peacock, of Atlanta, Ga., paid a surprise visit to her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph O. Nusbaum, Winona Lake, over the weekend. The Peacocks came to help the Nusbaums celebrate their golden wedding anniversary Saturday. Roger Nusbaum was here from Glen Ellyn, Ill., and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Blosser from Lafayette. Mrs. Blosser is a niece of Mrs. R.O. Nusbaum75 Years AgoThe sub-zero temperature experienced in Warsaw the past week has made little change in the number of transients occupying the "flop house." Police Chief Frank R. Lucas said recently. "There is not much change in the number of men traveling on the road because of the cold wave. We average about six persons a day at the flop house," Lucas said.
