10 Years AgoWarsaw Police Department's DARE Officer Joe Hawn read to students at Lincoln Elementary's Camp Out and Read program recently. Students wore their pajamas to school and camped out in the gymnasium to hear volunteers read to them for 30 minutes. Students being read to were: Madeline Clark, Jessica Smith, Brittany Morgan, Nelson Blocker, Svet Ortega, Jared Anderson and Braxton Larson. Each Lincoln student also received a new book at the Camp Out.25 Years AgoN. Bruce Howe, Warsaw, and N. Charlene Bradbury, Warsaw, were named Warsaw "Man and Woman of the Year" for 1985 during the 74th annual Greater Warsaw Chamber of Commerce banquet at the Shrine Building Wednesday Night. He was the only person residing in Indiana to make the National Chamber's top speakers' list for the coming year.75 Years AgoMercury in thermometers in the rural section of Kosciusko County early this afternoon registered below the zero mark. At 2 o'clock bulbs in the business district of Warsaw showed 12 degrees below zero, with a frigid wind blowing across the city. Between three and four inches of snow fell over Kosciusko County Tuesday night. This had formed drifts one to two feet deep on many highways and six inches to a foot deep on some sidewalks in Warsaw.
