10 Years AgoKelsi Foreman, a senior at Warsaw Community High School, is the recipient of the annual $100 scholarship from the local chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Foreman will now be considered for a statewide award and scholarship from the DAR.Foreman's future plans include attending Bethel College, Mishawaka, and majoring in international studies. She has been class president for two years and is student body vice president.25 Years AgoMarlin Rose, a former county sheriff's deputy and Winona Lake town marshal, says he is considering running for sheriff on the Republican ticket. "It is still under deep consideration," he said. Rose is now in charge of maintenance at Othy Inc. County detective Sgt. Stan Holderman, meanwhile, is still a possible candidate for the GOP nomination for sheriff. Eddington, chief; and Harry Ludlow, assistant chief. Report showed all bills, including the Christmas entertainment, paid with a small balance in the treasury.
