10 Years AgoThe Ramada Plaza Hotel Women's Bridge Group met Thursday with six tables playing. Winners were: Mary M. McCoy, Mary Gradle, Ione Jonas, Joyce Latta, Betty Milling and Grace Mayer.25 Years AgoThis recipe was from the Spotlight Recipe Contest for Dump Cake.1 can of pie filling (cherry, blueberry, strawberry); 1 can crushed pineapple (drained); 1 box cake mix (any flavor); 1-1/4 sticks margarine, sliced; 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped; 1/2 to 3/4 cup flaked coconut.Spread pie filling in 9x13 glass pan. Scatter pineapple over fruit mixture. Sprinkle dry cake mix in layer over the filling. Drop slices of margarine over cake mix. Scatter nuts and coconut on the top (do not stir). Bake 350 degrees for 40 minutes until done or lightly brown. Serve plain or with ice cream. Jennifer Woodward, Warsaw50 Years AgoGlen Long of Warsaw presented a Warsaw Junior Chamber of Commerce trophy to Jesse Beer, of near Milford, who recently was named Kosciusko County's "Outstanding Young Farmer of the Year." Beer will also receive a large traveling trophy and will compete in the state contest.75 Years AgoMembers of the Warsaw Bridge Club were entertained recently at the home of Mrs. James Duncan. Mrs. Duncan won high score, with second high going to Mrs. John Motto. After bridge, the hostess served tea to those present.
