10 Years AgoTo provide a more accurate picture of how many borrowers the Warsaw Community Public Library has, the names of people who haven't borrowed in the last four years were wiped out of the library's system, the library board was told at its meeting recently. Approximately 5,000 borrowers were taken out of the system.25 Years AgoThe Mentone Nutrition Site has been open less than two years and has already become a very active place, under the leadership of Eva Mae Haist and now Bedi Weirick.Besides the many interesting programs, the group has formed its own "Scrambled Egg Symphony Band" and has made several area appearances. Mary Shirey was the first director, followed by Joan Harmon and her mother, Ruth Cullum, at the piano.50 Years AgoA "Funspiration," sponsored by Kosciusko County Youth for Christ, will be held at the women's building at the fairgrounds.Bill Eakin from Youth for Christ International will be in charge. Bill has directed these funspirations all over the nation with great success. The title of the funspiration is "Flying Saucer Festival."
