Lemons, who attends Warsaw Community High School, was nominated for this national award by Becky White, a theater teacher at the school. She is the daughter of Gary and Judy Lemons.50 Years AgoMrs. Jim Mauzy and children, Celeste and Kevin, have returned to New Mexico following a month's visit with Mrs. Mauzy's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Merl Heckman, near Sidney, who celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Dec. 28. The Mauzys have a Navajo trading post near Cuba, N.M. Mrs. Mauzy is the former Iris Heckman.75 Years Ago The Book Lovers' Club met with Mrs. Mae Burget. It was "Indiana" night, and the response to roll call was "Places of Interest in Indiana." Miss Enid Bowles opened the program with a well-prepared paper on "Development of Education in Indiana." Mrs. Pearl Anglin followed with a very interesting paper on "Indiana Authors and Artists," after which all members joined in singing the state song "Indiana" by Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Harlan.
