Cub Scouts Wilson Reeves and Dylan Ettinger of Pack 3776 received awards from their pack recently. Reeves, the son of Cary and Anita Reeves, Leesburg, received the Arrow of Light Award, the highest honor a Cub Scout can receive. Ettinger, son of John and Debbie Ettinger, Warsaw, received the Faith in God medal, a religious emblem offered through the scouting program to Latter-day Saints boys ages 9-10.
The proud owner of a new 10-speed bicycle from Freewheelin' in Warsaw is 12-year-old Charlene Robbins, Warsaw. The bike was given to one participant in the VFW's Lite-a-Bike program held recently.
Pfc. William R. Valentine, 22, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Valentine, Warsaw, recently participated in a field training exercise with 24th infantry in Germany. Bill is a wireman in a heavy mortar battery. He enlisted in 1954, and went overseas in March 1956.
The first women's bowling team of Warsaw was defeated by the Rochester women's team by a score of 1336 to 1160 at the bowling alley on South Buffalo Street. Warsaw young ladies participating were Maxine Smith, Bernice Sharp, Betty Zimmer, Mary Wallace and Jean Widaman.
