Kosciusko REMC opened today at its new facility at 370 S. CR 250E, Warsaw. The electric cooperative celebrated the occasion with gifts, food and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Kim Hensley, the first member to visit the facility, received a gift basket featuring baked goods from Clocktower Bakery. The next 10 members also received gifts. Refreshments will be available in the front lobby throughout the rest of the week.
Features of the 70,000-square-foot building, constructed by local company Robinson Construction, include a drive-up payment window, expanded office and conference areas, a geothermal heating and cooling system, state-of-the-art technology and a 40,000-square-foot warehouse.
CEO Steve Rhodes said, "Every aspect of this new building was designed with the future in mind. The facility will be able to accommodate both our membership and personnel growth for years to come.
"We're all excited by the many features this new building has to offer, but the chief benefit is it will enable us to increase our efficiency and the quality of service we provide our members."
