Religious Education

School funding? Vouchers? What might Benjamin say?

Point 1 - All education is religious! There either is a Creator (theistic) or there is not (Atheistic). Both views are equally religious.

2 - The curriculum of all schools past and present, whether home, private or public, reflect one belief or the other.

3 - From our country's earliest days (1620), most education was theistic and Christian acknowledging: "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth."

4 - Our Founding Fathers acknowledged commonly held revelations of Scripture by declaring at the time of our country's birth (1776) certain "truths to be self-evident" that we're all "created equal" and "endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable rights, among which are life and liberty."

5 - Thanks to our First Amendment (1791), Congress can neither make laws establishing any religion nor prohibit free exercise of any. By contrast, all other countries in the world past and present have established religions and also have prohibited free exercise of any opposing beliefs.

6 - Thanks also to the works of educator/textbook authors like Noah Webster (1758-1843) and Wm. McGuffey (1800-73) education continued mostly on a Christian foundation.

7- Although a public school system was begun in colonial days by the Puritans of Massachusetts, it spread very little to other colonies. Its growth did not occur until after the Civil War while its philosophy remained theistically Christian.

8 - No thanks to the work of Charles Darwin's doctrine of evolution (1859) and progressive John Dewey (1859-1952), public school curriculum gradually changed from accommodation of Christian (theistic) ideals to anti-Christian teachings, especially since the expulsion of God, his commandments and prayers by our 1960s Supreme Court.

9 - The vacuum so created has led to the indoctrination of millions of captive impressionable public school students in the atheistic doctrine of evolution- a belief that postulates: In the beginning, only matter (from wherever?) naturally and spontaneously over millions (or billions?) of years - by chance generated all life forms including we humans. Although scientist Louis Pasteur has long ago proven this fairy tale a big lie, it remains entrenched and sacred.

10 - The establishment of this atheistic religion (evolution) in public schools and the corresponding prohibition of all dissent violates all core principles of the First Amendment.

11 - Violating also the principles of free enterprise and free market place, public schools have become untouchable monopolies. What to do? What might Ben suggest?

12 - Income earning/taxpaying citizen/parents should be granted the right to spend their tax dollars designated for education to the school of their choice. Doing so will most certainly break the monopoly and provide competition for excellence in education on level playing fields.

In conclusion, if this atheistic religion of evolutionism were good, it would support itself. Because it never has, is, or will be; its acolytes and professors have been obliged to call help from government. Bowing to demands from this vocal ministry, Congress has confiscated federally and locally the funds of all taxpayers to prop up and support in the public school system an evil belief, a false religion established and enforced over them in violation of our Constitution and First Amendment.

Thanks, Ben!
