American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life of Kosciusko County is set to kick off the 2014 relay season. The public is invited to the event Saturday from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Eastlake Skate Center, 3010 Frontage Road, Warsaw, to learn about Relay For Life. Although the Relay For Life of Kosciusko County is four months away, now is the time to get involved, according to Jimmy Bouterse, media chair. Residents are invited to attend the kickoff celebration to learn more about the upcoming event and how they can become a part of the overnight event. People can sign up to organize a team with work associates or with family members. On May 17-18 at the Kosciusko County Fairgrounds, Relay For Life participants and visitors have a chance to celebrate the victory of local cancer survivors and remember those who are fighting cancer and those who have lost their battle to the disease. Contact Bouterse with any questions at jimmy@bouterse.org or 574-265-7910 or Juliana Newbill at Juliana.newbill@cancer.org or 574-257-9789.
