KANSAS CITY, Mo. - The International Association of Assessing Officers recently completed its 75th annual conference.
The event, held Sept. 13-16 in Louisville, Ky., brought together nearly 1,000 assessment professionals worldwide. Local property tax assessors, Laurie Renier, Kosciusko County assessor and Judy Affolder, Adams County assessor participated.
The IAAO conference is the premier platform in assessment administration to share successes, discover best practices and learn from expert colleagues the latest research in the field of property appraisal. IAAO President Dr. Josephine Lim of Victoria, British Columbia, said of the conference, "The education program offered a wide open field of prospects and presenters were the 'best of breed'." With a continuing nod to the Louisville location, she went on "It was an exciting program right out of the gate and through to the finish line."
"This was the best conference that I have attended in my twenty-three years in the assessing profession," said Reiner.
