Regulate Oil

Posted
Editor, Times-Union:

Why are gas prices climbing when oil is dropping?

Gas has climbed from $3.59 to $4.15 in less than two weeks and oil has fallen to $100 per barrel. Why are the gas companies ripping off the consumer and getting away with it?

Time for the government to put a stop to this and start regulating the industry. Maybe it is time to elect new officials to the high offices during the election that will actually stand up for the people. Enough is enough. Stop ripping off the consumer.

Gas should be down around $3.29. That is where it was the last time oil was at $100 per barrel. No wonder the oil companies are reporting record-breaking profits all the time.
