Registration Open for Pee Wee Soccer at Kos. Co. YMCA
Posted
Staff Report-
Registration for indoor Pee Wee Soccer for ages 3 to first grade has started at the Kosciusko Community YMCA.
A membership to the YMCA is not required to participate.
The YMCA’s soccer program is an environment for children to learn practical and social skills and develop positive values.
Teamwork and sportsmanship will be stressed over winning and everyone will get a chance to play. Younger players will play on smaller fields with 4x6 foot goals and age-appropriate equipment to promote safety and confidence.
The league offers two divisions, one for ages 3 to 4 and one for those age 5 to first grade.
Practices and games will be held on Saturdays at the YMCA.
In addition to being an opportunity for kids, Pee Wee Soccer will also give parents the opportunity to take an active role as a coach.
Register at any of the three YMCA branches or online at www.kcymca.org Registration will be open until March 21 with a late fee after March 9. The first game will be March 24 and the last May 5 with no games on April 7 over spring break.
