The 2008 election is going to be one of the most consequential elections in modern American history. One Supreme Court justice celebrated his 88th birthday in April, the Bush tax cuts are set to expire during the next president's term, Iran is aggressively developing its nuclear program, and the meaning of marriage is still an open question in courtrooms across the country.
All Americans should exercise their cherished right to vote and let their voices be heard, but you cannot vote unless you are registered to do so. In Indiana, the deadline for voter registration is approaching fast (Oct. 6). Please, if you have not registered to vote, do so now!
Voter registration forms and more information can be found on the Web at: http://www.in.gov/sos/elections/vote_reg.html
There is much at stake in every election, and this election is already one for the history books. You, too, can be a part of history, if you register to vote.
