Register Now For 1st Annual Warsaw Ladies Pamper Me With Susie McEntire, KeenieCountry gospel artist Susie McEntire is expanding her schedule when she comes to Warsaw in December for her annual Christmas concert, but it’s an event only for the women.

The 1st Annual Warsaw Ladies Pamper Me, hosted by Susie McEntire and singer-songwriter Keenie Word Moore, is a day retreat, according to Mike Loher, owner of seven25events that organizes the Country Christmas Concert with Susie McEntire benefitting Toys for Tots.

“There’s going to be a meal, shopping, a style show, speakers, some music and some other fun events,” he said.

It is 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 16 in the Lakeview Middle School gymnasium. The concert will be later that evening in the LMS auditorium.

In a telephone interview recently, McEntire said, “What we do is we come together in the morning. They’ll have the opportunity to meet new ladies and reacquaint themselves with people they’ve met before. There will be a lot of people that they know and some people that they don’t know. And there will be lots of singing by Keenie Word and I. Then we’re going to have stories, we’re going to have women tell their stories about what’s going on with them in their lives - we’ve got three for sure - and then Keenie and I will be sharing our stories as we sing.”

During the Christmas concert, she said she doesn’t usually get to share that much about her background and what’s going on, so she will do that at the women’s event, especially about the last 1-1/2 years of her life.

There will be lunch, followed by shopping with the pop-up vendors.

“So everything a woman likes to do - listen to music, shop, visit with her friends. We’re going to have a style show. They’re going to look at clothes and the newest fashions, especially toward the Christmas season, probably some really sparkly things from Glam. And then we’ll come back and finish the afternoon with more speakers and singing and maybe some impromptu stories,” McEntire said.

Along with McEntire and Keenie, speakers will include Indiana Lt. Gov. Suzanne Crouch and Serena Dyksen, founder of She Found His Grace Ministry.

“Serena is a really, really neat lady. Really cool,” Loher stated. “So, right now we’ve got those ladies on the roster to speak.”

Vendors at the Ladies Pamper will be invited to stay for the concert so concertgoers can check them out. Loher said Expressions and Glam will be there, as well as others.

“We are accepting vendors, so if anybody wants to be a vendor, if they want information about this, they can contact me,” Loher said, by emailing him at mike@seven25events.com.

Registration for the women’s event is open. Register online at susiemcentire.com. Cost is $40 per person or $35 each with a group of 10. The cost includes a full day of inspirational speakers, testimonies, some singing, visiting the pop-up shops and “whatever else Susie has in store for them,” Loher said.

While this is the first Ladies Pamper Me event in Warsaw, it’s not the first one for McEntire.

“I started doing this in the early 2000s here in my hometown. It was a great success the first year. There were 300 women and they were represented by six states,” McEntire said. “I can make them as a big as I want to and then one year I said ‘by invitation only’ because that was the year my father passed away and we kept it pretty small.”

Then they went to Cheyenne, Wyo., where she and Keenie did a Ladies Paper Me for two or three years. They’ve also held the events in Rapid City, S.D., and other locations, with Warsaw being the newest.

McEntire said she left it up to the ladies as to how big the Warsaw event will be.

“There were about 40-50 ladies that I emailed and I said, ‘Listen, if you have a friend or an acquaintance, a sister, a mom, a mother-in-law, friend - if you have anyone who you think will be interested in this, please share it with them.’ So if you get 40 or 50 people to invite three people and they can come, then we’ll have a pretty good crowd,” she said, adding that she’s hoping for 100 to 150 women.

The event is not very long, she said, and would be a great Christmas gift for the women in one’s life, whether that’s your sister, wife, daughter, mother or grandmother.

“It’s going to be lots of fun,” McEntire stated.

Ever since Covid, she said people have slacked off getting together.

“This is a great opportunity to get together. A lot of people kind of hole up at home, and it’s a time, at Christmastime, when some people are a little sad. And they need to come to this and to the Christmas concert because ... what a wonderful group of people that we have coming to entertain and to sing: Jenifer Wrinkle, Linda Davis, Keenie Word and myself. It’s just great. They will lose not on this Christmas concert. There’s just so much talent on that stage,” she said.

McEntire also was appreciative that Loher continues to do the Country Christmas Concert.

“He works hard at it, he’s got a lot of people that help him out. It’s just a wonderful thing to do for the community to bring them together,” she said.
