SYRACUSE - Registrations are being accepted now through Sept. 4 for fall semester adult education classes at Wawasee High School.
The fall semester adult education classes at Wawasee will begin the week of Sept. 14.
Wawasee offers a variety of classes for non-credit, and also offers instruction for preparation to pass the GED test to attain a high school diploma.
Classes are one night a week unless otherwise stated.
A new class being offered in the fall is Digital Camera.
All classes will be at Wawasee High School.
Anyone wanting to register for a class may send registration fee, along with name, address and telephone number to the Career/Technical and Continuing Education Office at Wawasee High School, 1 Warrior Path, Building 1, Syracuse, IN 46567.
If you have questions, call 574-457-3147, Ext. 209, or come to the Continuing Education office any school day from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. If there is interest in a class that is not presently offered, call the Career/Technical and Continuing Education office.
The offerings for the fall are:Introduction to Computers: $40, Tuesdays beginning Sept. 15, for five classes, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Microsoft Office: $50, Tuesdays beginning Oct. 20, for six classes, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
GED: No fee, Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Sept. 15, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
Infant, Level II, III & IV Swimming Lessons: $40, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays beginning Sept. 15 for nine classes - Infant (4 months to 2 years) 5:30 to 6 or 6 to 6:30 p.m.; Level I, II, III 6:30 to 7:15 p.m.; Level I, II, IV 7:15 to 8 p.m. Indicate time and level and age of swimmer.
Bodyworks (aerobics): $35, Mondays and Wednesdays beginning Sept. 21, 16 classes, from 7 to 8 p.m.
Water Exercise: $40, Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Oct. 6, for 14 classes, 6:30 to 8 p.m.
Yoga: $25, Tuesdays beginning Sept. 15 for six classes, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sticky mat required.
Beginning Cake Decorating: $40, Tuesdays beginning Sept. 15, six classes, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Supplies extra.
Advanced Cake Decorating: $30, Tuesdays beginning Oct. 27, three classes from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Supplies extra.
Quilting: $40, Mondays beginning Sept. 14 for six classes, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Supplies extra.
Beginning Or Advanced Stained Glass: $40, Thursdays, beginning Sept. 17 for five classes, 6:30 to 9 p.m. Supplies extra.
