Editor, Times-Union: Some people just can’t get enough. As you drive around Warsaw you cannot help but see all the yard signs telling us to “Vote Yes for Education.” I, myself, believe we need to do all we can to further educate our children as to prepare them to be a great asset to society in the future. What I don’t understand is why we need another tax increase to do so. You see these same people who are asking you to vote Yes are some of the same people who lobbied for the repeal of Common Construction Wage here in Indiana. With that being said and done, except for a signature of the governor, there now is no need for this referendum or anything like it in the near future. After all, they got their wish by the repeal of CCW. You see they all claimed all along we will all save 20 to 25 percent on all public projects. So unless the Chamber of Commerce, along with Indiana’s Republican Leadership, used misleading facts, there’s no need for an increase in local taxes. Remember, everything is now 20 to 25 percent cheaper! But like I said when I started – some people just can’t get enough! George A. Dockery Larwill, via email
