Redevelopers OK Claim For Buffalo Street Improvement Work

Warsaw Redevelopment Commission Monday approved a preliminary bill for Buffalo Street improvements.The commission approved an $11,142.27 bill from The Land Group LLC, Fort Wayne. The claim is for a preliminary design phase for Buffalo Street corridor improvements.
The commission, at its May 4 meeting, approved a professional service agreement for Buffalo Street corridor improvements.
Warsaw will develop Buffalo Street from Main Street to Center Lake. The initial goal is to transform Buffalo Street into a boulevard from Fort Wayne Street to Canal Street.
Improvements will continue from Canal Street to Center Lake. New sidewalks, road pavement, curbs, street lighting and street trees will be installed.
The design phase also will include plans for a new city hall.
The city is proposing to build a new city hall on the property currently occupied by Indiana American Water, 350 N. Buffalo St.
Redevelopers are Richard Snodgrass, Charlie Smith, Tammy Rockey, Savina Kralis and Trish Brown.
The commission will meet again Sept. 14 at noon at city hall.
