Red Light Runner

Posted

While one motorist heeds the red light this morning on U.S. 30 at CR 150W, a truck's driver ignores the signal and zips through the intersection. The Indiana Senate passed Senate Bill 3 Tuesday by a vote of 31 to 19. The legislation authorizes local (city and town) governments to install automated traffic enforcement devices, or red light cameras, on state highways. The bill now moves to the House, where it is sponsored by Reps. Dave Wolkins (R-Winona Lake) and Ben GiaQuinta (D-Fort Wayne). Photo by Gary Nieter, Times-Union
