For the past few years we have been using a small blue recycling container for our recycling needs. This year, the city switched its recycling company and, in turn, switched containers.
The small blue manageable containers have now become a huge 96-gallon container. I called the recycling company to see if we could get a smaller container, and they said that Warsaw opted for the larger container so therefore they couldn't give us a smaller one.
Doesn't the city officials who made the decision for the larger containers realize that there are lots of elderly people in this city that cannot handle these containers because of their size and bulkiness? What difference does it make whether we have a small or large container if the recycling company can handle it? I called the city and asked them to come and pick ours up. When the city gives us the option, then we will start recycling again.
