Rebecca Sue Maughmer Springer passed away Sunday, June 14, 2020, at 1:30 a.m. at her home in Leesburg.
She is the daughter of Billy D. and Margret Maxine Maughmer, born to them Feb. 22, 1956.
Preceding in their travels beyond this earth are her father, Billy; her mother, Maxine; and brother-in-law, Timmy Springer.
Those she left to continue celebrating life on Earth include her husband of 38 years, Gilbert C. Springer Jr.; sister, Patricia and husband Miles Wyatt; sister, Jerri Townsend; brother, Scott Maughmer; father-in-law, Gilbert C. Springer Sr.; mother-in-law, Cora Lee Walton Springer; sisters-in-law, Teresa K. Springer, Jacqueline Springer, Barbara Springer Austin; brothers-in-law, Richard and wife Lisa Springer, Bobby Springer, Reggie Springer (Michelle).
Although Becky had no children of her own, she is loved and adored by multitudes of nieces, nephews, great-nieces and -nephews and great-great-nieces and -nephews, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, countless extended nieces, nephews and friends also cherished Becky.
Becky’s wishes were to be cremated. There will be a memorial held on July 11 at the River Walkway Park on West Canal in Peru, Ind.
