SYRACUSE — Rebecca S. “Becky” Merritt, 68, Warsaw, passed away at 9:35 a.m. Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, at Miller’s Merry Manor, Syracuse.
She was born on July 19, 1950, in North Manchester, to Herschel and Mary Ellen Burkhart Merritt.
She grew up in North Manchester, graduated in 1968 from Manchester High School in North Manchester, and has lived in the Warsaw area for the past 40 years.
She was a former bartender/cook at the Eagles Lodge and VFW, both in Warsaw.
She is survived by two daughters, Alica (Joe) Parkison, Ligonier, and Renee Klingler, Kokomo; seven grandchildren; and three sisters: Donna Merritt, Martha Pursiful and Bethany Merritt.
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Julie Kent Merritt and brother Karl Merritt.
Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, Warsaw.
No public services are planned.
Owen Family Funeral Home, Syracuse, is in charge of arrangements.
