In regard to the "Common Sense" letter of the very nice Mrs Torpy: In reading your letter it makes no sense whatsoever. I found it very amusing though. Facts were wrong and pointless. Sorry, I was in reality land. I, too, have a degree but not in journalism as Mrs. Palin. And it's funny how she didn't know what was going on in the world having a degree in journalism. Maybe that's why she was not even close to being qualified to be vice president. And most of America agreed, great isn't it.
Maybe reading the Anchorage News might let you know how unpopular she is in Alaska. Just a thought.

Sarah Palin said she would donate the $20,000 worth in clothes she received from your party, and yet she hasn't. Go figure.
Too bad Palin didn't apply her "we don't need it" logic to the per diems she has been collecting, nor to the freebie trips for her family-members, which she has to pay back and as well the back taxes she never paid.
Ah well, it is no big surprise that she does "me, me, me" on that front and forgets about the "we, we, we" when it comes to Alaskans.
Well, if it wasn't for pork we wouldn't have parks, roads, bridges, schools, etc. The money comes from somewhere - oh yeah, earmarks.
Sorry you feel that way about welfare people. There are some Americans going through a tough time. I, for one, feel for those people. It might be one of us who needs that. Not turn them into the streets like garbage.
George Bush ruined this country. He does have a 70 percent disapproval rating. I know, I know. It wasn't his fault on Hurricane Katrina, faulty intelligence on Iraq that put us in debt, giving tax breaks for the wealthy while the middle class carried the tax burden, not knowing the gas price was $5 a gallon, keep declaring mission accomplished. I can go on and on, but I'm only allowed 500 words.
I am pleased the Republicans look to the genius of Mr. Limberger for guidance. It means that they will be wondering through the political wilderness for the foreseeable future.
Obama should take the ball of this self-humiliation of the GOP and run with it all the way to the goal posts. He'll score a touchdown long before the right wing ever wakes up to their own self-induced fate. They ought to be careful what they wish for as it comes back to haunt them.
I do my research before I write my letter. I always thought that made "Common Sense." Attacking me won't change Palin, Jindal and Sanford's credibility.
By the way, giving money away to rich people doesn't fix the economy because those rich people are just taking it and investing it overseas in foreign money markets so the overall value won't depreciate as quickly as a result of the fed having written a major check with only debt on hand to begin with. And U.S. companies with business in other countries don't pay taxes. That's why they have off-shore accounts.
