‘All Aboard for a Reading Journey’ is the theme for Reading Camp at Mentone Elementary School during June. Students in first through fifth grade eat breakfast, have an opening camp meeting, then move from counselor to counselor to work on reading, writing and word skills. Students also may eat lunch, and then they are dismissed. During the month, guest readers visit and share favorite books with the students.
