Randy E. Ransbottom, 73, Silver Lake, died at 12:52 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2021, at Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home, Fort Wayne.
He was born July 11, 1947, in Warsaw, to Franklin S. and June E. Sensibaugh Ransbottom.
He volunteered for service in the United States Army, and served in Vietnam as a wheel and track mechanic and ammo guard. He was honorably discharged in 1969 with the rank of Specialist E-4.
He was married Dec. 20, 1980, to Priscilla Poe, who survives.
Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 24 at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, Warsaw. His life will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, March 25 at the funeral home, with Pastors Justin Harshman, Bobby Board and Frank Whitaker officiating. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw, with military rites conducted by the American Legion and active-duty members of the Army Honor Guard.
