MENTONE – Randy D. Grimm, 60, of rural Rochester, passed at 8:04 a.m. Friday, Oct. 30, 2020, at Lutheran Hospital of Fort Wayne.
Randy was born on Aug. 25, 1960, in Warsaw, to John and Shirley Horn Grimm. He was married on Aug. 12, 1994, in Rochester, to Ruth Creviston; she survives.
Randy was a welder and a machinist. His favorite things were music and going out to eat with family. He was very fond of tending to his outdoor animals. He was a long time fan of the Cubs and the Bears. He was known for making deals and enjoyed trading up whenever he found something good.
Survivors include his wife, Ruth Grimm, of Rochester; daughters, Stacy and husband Joe Gamble, of Rochester; Robin and husband Jason Ousley, of Rochester; Brandie and husband EJ Yano, of Carmel; son, Randy and wife Lori Rogers, of Akron; grandchildren, Joey, Jake, Jared, Gracelynn, Tyler, Kandis, Ethan, Noah, Eli, Chelsea, Brooke, Connor, Colin and Samantha; great-granddaughter, Amethyst; and great-grandson, Brendon; mother and stepfather, Shirley and Dick Wine, of Warsaw; father, John “Dick” Grimm, of Rochester; sisters, Melody Craig, of Mentone; and Tammy Shepherd, of Mentone; stepsisters, Angy Tabb, Anita Johnson, Diana Turnipseed, Judy Miller; and stepbrothers, Rich Wine, Donny Turnipseed, Rob Turnipseed, Pete Turnipseed, Rick Turnipseed and Harry Payne.
Preceding Randy in death is his brother, Richard “Richie” Grimm.
Memorial visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 at King Memorial Home, 101 N. Tucker St., Mentone. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 21 at King Memorial Home, Mentone.
Masks will be required for all in attendance for the services for Mr. Grimm.
